How do I register to take the CMET exam?
 
• Step:1 Complete the CMET application form.
• Step:2 You must include your current and previous marine electronics experience.
• Step:3 Return the completed CMET application form to the NMEA National Office.

Certified Marine Electronics Technician Test

Pre-requisite: A minimum of one year’s experience in the marine electronics field and approval from the CMET Committee. You must also hold an FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) or higher lifetime license with Ship Radar Endorsement. FCC License Program
Passing Score: 70%
Course Materials: Study guide supplement

Cost: $125 Member, $350 Non-member

Certification Period: 3 years - Basic & Advanced, 5 years - Senior

Note: Allow 10 days for processing and to receive confirmation of application acceptance. The CMET exam currently must be taken through an approved proctor.
