Mackay CommunicationsMarine Electronic Technician, New YorkJob Description: Job tasks include: Install, service and repair electronic equipment on board ships. Test, adjust and troubleshoot equipment components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas. Load, update, and modify software. Work from wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, schematics and/or manufacturer’s manuals. Layout, supervise, and assist in equipment installations. Prepare detailed service reports. Maintain tools, test equipment, etc. Generally operate in the field. Work under general supervision referring questionable or unusual cases to supervisor.
