Job Description:

Mackay Marine, a division of Mackay Communications, is seeking a Technical Advisor to coordinate service jobs on bridge equipment for Mackay Marine customers, both domestic and foreign, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Must be able to interface directly with customers and agents on a worldwide basis, and provide service coordination back up on a 24-hour, 7day basis. Evaluate and select overseas agents for best on-the-job performance. Compile service records for work done and maintain historical service database. Maintain Technical Library.Candidate must possess excellent knowledge of marine electronic equipment and the technical aspects of servicing electronics on-board vessels of all types. Prior experience in providing excellent customer service. A good working relationship with all class societies and IMO. Proficiency in using Microsoft products.Types of equipment serviced include:· Radars, ECDIS, Satcoms, HF and VHF Radios, GPS, Gyrocompasses, Autopilots, Sounders. Job Requirements:

Candidate must have a high school diploma and vocational training in electronics or military electronics training. Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in the marine electronics industry FCC license with radar endorsement a plus. GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer license a plus. Military training a plus. Vocational school a plus.
