NMEA Membership - Enrollment Form

Before proceeding, please read the member code of conduct. All members must read and agree to abide by these guidelines, as they relate to the business, relative to the category of membership for which they qualify (see categories to the right). NMEA Memberships are on an annual basis – we do not prorate our membership dues.

2008 Rates

New member applications will have a one-time processing charge of $30.00.

Manufacturer: $595 - $1395

$595 (10 or less employees)
$995 (11-49 employees)
$1395 (50 or more employees)
Any business (domestic or international) involved in the manufacture of marine electronic equipment, software and supplies or any business (domestic or international) that uses NMEA as a vehicle to promote, directly or indirectly, sales of any product or service, tangible or intangible. Membership includes a copy of the NMEA Installation Standard.

Boat Builder: $595 - $1395

$595 (10 or less employees)
$995 (11-49 employees)
$1395 (50 or more employees)
A boat or ship building facility (domestic or international) that builds boats or ships for recreational or commercial use. May also install marine electronics regularly in the course of doing business. Membership includes a copy of the NMEA Installation Standard.

Dealer: $325

A marine electronics sales, installation and service business that routinely provides onboard service and installation whose primary business effort or source of income is from such activities. To qualify you must provide all three of the following to your customer: Onboard service, electronics installation and electronic sales. Please include with your membership application a copy of your companys liability insurance. Membership includes a copy of the NMEA Installation Standard.

Trade: $325

Wholesalers; retail distributors; manufacturers' representatives; publications; consulting firms; international non-manufacturer businesses or any business directly involved in the marine industry not classified above. Membership includes a copy of the NMEA Installation Standard.

Associate: $145

An individual, entity, organization having a general interest in the marine electronics industry, but not qualifying to become a member in any other class of the above classes of membership. Associate members have limited benefits and no voting rights in association matters.
