The NMEA, which stands for National Marine Electronics Association, is committed to enhancing the technology and safety of marine electronics through installer training and interface standards.
NMEA members promote professionalism within the marine electronics space. 

NMEA has postponed all scheduled training classes through May 1 2020. All students can receive either a full refund or credit towards an upcoming training.

Published by the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), the MARINE ELECTRONICS JOURNAL is the trade magazine of the marine electronics industry. Also published is the annual BUYERS' GUIDE, the marine electronics source for the boat owner.
The BUYERS' GUIDE is handed out at consumer boat shows across the world and lists NMEA members and their products and services.

FOR BOATERS! The NMEA consumer website for the boater gives you access to NMEA members in your area who can provide you sales, installation, and service, along with an interactive blog, and the best and brightest marine electronics products for your boat.
The International Marine Electronics Alliance (IMEA) is a supporting 501 (c) 3 organization of NMEA.
IMEA promotes safety through the uses of marine electronics worldwide through their SAFE Campaign.
