Marine Electronics Museum
The International Marine Electronics Alliance (IMEA), a 501 (c)(3) supporting organization of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), has an extensive archive of antique and retired marine electronics on display. The museum is located at the IMEA / NMEA national office in Severna Park MD. In addition to being on display at the office, the musem packs its bags each year and travels to the NMEA Conference, where it is on display for all in the industry to see.
Your NMEA and IMEA are seeking donations of relic marine electronics to continually add to this marine electronics museum.
There is some deep history and stories that can be told to members and future members of the association. All NMEA historian members are asked to consider this tax-deductible donation, in which receipt/acknowledgement can be issued through the IMEA 501c(3) tax structure. This is also a way to breathe new life into interesting historical items that may be collecting dust.
If you have any items that you would be willing to donate, please contact Mark Reedenauer at [email protected] before shipping to the NMEA Office. NMEA will pay all associated shipping costs and advance ship pelican cases with return shipping labels for donated items. NMEA member companies will be listed next to the items donated as recognition for contributions. Thank you for your support and consideration.
